The details
Masters Place is a four bedroom family home located in Kambah. The clients spoke of a space that was showered with light, considered storage and inspired all who entered.
McShane Studios were granted full control of the design and pursued a minimal and bold structure with a strong monochrome theme, connecting the internal and external areas. Two zones were developed; to entertain and to retreat, allowing residents to meet their needs at all times.
Opportunities for storage were sealed through accessing space behind the kitchen, living and dining areas to allow for flow and discretion.
The south facing backyard presented a challenge, but solved by focusing on a layout that connected this light into the kitchen. The east and north solar orientation was then considered for the main living area, using large windows to light this home with warmth for generations to come.
